We use "ed" at the end of a regular verb.

It is used in the following tenses:
Simple Past ("I helped him yesterday")
Present Perfect ("I have helped him already")
Past Perfect ("I had helped him before he left")

It is also used in the passive voice: "I was helped by my friends."
