Title's Grammar Rules

by Stacy
(Nebraska)

When writing, what grammar do you use with the title of a short story?

Ola's answer:

The title is usually one of these three options:

1) A word, for example: Cats

2) A phrase, for example: The Dark Forest

3) In some cases you can see a full sentence as the title, for example: The People Fought and Lost

The same grammar rules that apply to words, phrases and sentences apply here.

Note that in many cases titles are capitalized.

For example: Alice in Wonderland

There are special rules about this subject.
