What is the importance of English grammar in spoken English?
Answer:
That's a very good question.
English grammar is important if you want to make sure your listeners fully understand what you say.
For example, if I say, "We am playing the guitar," that's quite confusing and unclear.
Did I mean that I was playing the guitar, or we were?
That's the main reason for grammar – understanding other people and being well understood yourself.
Spoken English can be much less strict on some grammar points, though.
