Present Progressive Verbs to Indicate Future?

In the present progressive exercise no 3:

1. We are going (go) to the movies tonight.
2. She is leaving (leave) to London tomorrow morning.
3. Jenny is coming (come) back from New York tomorrow.
4. I am visiting (visit) Lisa next week.

Here we are talking about future events to take place, so why can't we write these in the future progressive, like this:

1. We will be going (go) to the movies tonight.
2. She will be leaving (leave) to London tomorrow morning.
3. Jenny will be coming (come) back from New York tomorrow.
4. I will be visiting (visit) Lisa next week.

Why are we writing the future events in the present form as in the first example?
